Jody Steinhauer - SuperMom Entrepreneur
The President and CBO (Chief Bargain Officer) of the Bargains Group has mobilized her award winning discount wholesale and promotional products company to revolutionize the business landscape.
Pioneering her belief of "giving back makes good business sense", Jody Steinhauer uses her network of resources and leveraged buying power to aid every company and not for profit agency that she touches to maximize their buying dollar
Her belief of making clients happy by saving everyone money has led her company to becoming a multi-million dollar success story in over 24 years of business. The culture around the Bargains Group is one that is unique in a very past paced business environment. The diversification from Canada's favourite discount family clothing wholesaler, into a leading not-for-profit advocate, and recently into the leading discount wholesale promotional products supplier has led to long term stability and growth.
Jody practices what she preaches. She is the founder of Project Water and Project Winter Survival, annual initiatives that help thousands of Toronto's homeless populations, and is the backend to hundreds of similar projects across Canada. Her goal for 2012 is to create Project Women's Shelter; building and distributing welcome kits for women's shelters across Canada.
Some of Jody's various awards include: Rotman Canadian Woman Entrepreneur of the Year (2001), Canada's Top 40 under 40 (2001), Business Excellence Award in the Community, Presented by The Toronto Board of Trade (2005), Kaufman Community Award (2005), Humanitarian of the Year, Promotional Product Professionals of Canada Association (2010), and Local Hero Award, Women of Influence (2011).
Jody lives in Toronto, and is happily married with two wonderful children, who are raised with a "Give Back Where You Live" philosophy.
