“By Helping People Save Money, we Help Save Lives.”

The Chief Bargain Officer of The Bargains Group has mobilized her award-winning discount wholesale and promotional products company to revolutionize philanthropy.
Pioneering what she calls “triangle fundraising,” Jody Steinhauer uses her network of resources and leveraged buying power to aid the non-profit sector in acquiring necessities for the needy at a fraction of the cost — socks, gloves, bedding and linen, personal hygiene items, and even holiday toys and gifts.

“We are a one-stop shop that can help the not-for-profit sector and donors stretch their limited funds,” says Jody. “We can turn $1,000 into $4,000 worth of product and by helping people save money, we help save lives.”

Jody practices what she preaches. She is the founder of Project Water and Project Winter Survival, annual initiatives that help thousands of Toronto’s homeless population, and is the backend to hundreds of similar projects across Canada. Her goal for 2012 is to create Project Women’s Shelter — building and distributing welcome kits for women’s shelters across Canada.
